Toronto Veterinary Emergency Hospital welcomes Animal Care Attendants to join our Referral Services Department in Scarborough, Ontario. This full-time opportunity includes a range of responsibilities that directly contribute to the productive and effective daily operations of the hospital.

General Responsibilities

- Assist Doctors and RVTs during appointments, surgical procedures, and endoscopies.
- Provide hands-on patient care (walking, feeding) and assist RVTs with safe restraint for IV catheter placements, radiographs, and treatments.
- Hospital Maintenance: Perform general housekeeping to keep pet holding areas, exam rooms, treatment spaces, and common areas clean, organized, and sanitary.
- Team Assistance: Maintain high standards of patient care and readily take on additional hospital tasks as needed.

- Proven experience with safe, low-stress pet handling and restraint techniques.
- Excellent client service. Interpersonal skills with a positive attitude that puts pets and pet parents at ease.
- Ability to stay calm, focused, and adaptable during stressful situations or emergencies.
- Organization and teamwork skills, prioritizing a collaborative, team-first approach and a continuous eagerness to learn.
