Job Summary

Manages the productivity, financial and overall performance of multiple recycling operating units. Ensures Operating Units meet and/or exceed annual objectives and successfully implement organizational initiatives.

Responsibilities

Development and implementation of the Areas recycling operating plans, consistent with the accomplishment of long-range established objectives which will enhance effectiveness and delineate responsibilities and authority

Counsel managers as to the execution of programs, processes or initiatives, and when necessary, provides direction for modification in work plans or implementation of contingency plans.

Oversees human resource needs of the department, including selecting, coaching, and training employees and evaluating employee performance. Provides input into termination, compensation, and promotion decisions

Facilitates regularly scheduled Profit and Loss (P&L;) reviews,



and executes prescribed action plans or programs to continuously improve equipment/facility utilization, equipment maintenance, labor and material costs

Conducts regular cost of goods sold (COGS) reviews to ensure the plants maintain or improve their gross margin spread as COGS fluctuate

Implements and maintains programs to improve safety, productivity, and profitability of the Area; Ensures compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA)/Department of Transportation (DOT) and other Federal, State, and local regulations. Conducts regular site safety reviews with plant managers/supervisors

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree

4 years of relevant work experience

Valid Drivers license

Available to travel 50% of the time

Bilingual (French and English) is an asset
