We are seeking a self-disciplined individual with exceptional interpersonal skills. The chosen applicant will be required to join and begin their duties as soon as possible. This is a temporary full time position for a 3-month term.

Location: City Hall
- The candidate will be responsible for providing organized and proactive support for planning and organizing all aspects of the election roll‑out.
- The candidate will be responsible for recruiting approximately 2,000+ Election Day staff.
- The candidate will be responsible for organizing and assigning election staff across more than 150 voting locations.
- The candidate will organize training and ensure all staff receive appropriate training and election worker information.
- The candidate will be responsible for assisting with the organization and delivery of training sessions for election workers.
- The candidate will conduct audits of proposed voting locations and check accessibility and technological requirements.
- The candidate will be responsible for coordinating with School Boards and preparing and presenting voting location agreements.
- The candidate will create voting location profiles and floor plans, order voting location supplies, and manage supplies inventory.
- The candidate will be responsible for assisting with the organization of Advance Voting and Election Day activities.
- The candidate will be responsible for assisting in the oversight of operations and procedures during Advance Voting days and Election Day.
- The candidate will be responsible for assisting with candidate nominations and the third‑party advertiser registration process.
- The candidate will be responsible for reviewing candidate endorsement forms and posting candidate and third‑party advertiser contact information to the Brampton Votes website.
- The candidate will be responsible for organizing Candidate Information Night and other public/staff information sessions, community engagement, and outreach events.
- The candidate will be responsible for participating in mock elections as required.
- The candidate will be responsible for providing internal and external customer service while ensuring City staff, candidates, and residents receive up‑to‑date information on voter directories, candidate information, election staff records, voting times and locations, and key Brampton Votes website updates.
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining election databases.
- The candidate will be responsible for coordinating with the third‑party Voters’ List processing vendor and ensuring the system meets the City’s needs.
- The candidate will be responsible for coordinating with Elections Ontario to update voting subdivision boundaries.
- The candidate will be responsible for participating in ballot reviews.
- The candidate will be responsible for participating in the review and testing of voter notification letters.
- The candidate will be responsible for assisting with the creation and preparation of training manuals and materials.
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining current knowledge of collective agreements, City policies and practices, legislation, regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- The candidate will be responsible for coordinating payments for election staff.
- The candidate will be responsible for completing additional related tasks as required.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must have high school (Grade 12) graduation plus an additional program of up to one year or equivalent in Office Administration or an equivalent field.
- The candidate must possess more than one year and up to two years of related experience.
- The candidate must hold a valid non‑probationary Ontario Class G driver’s licence.
- The candidate should have previous experience associated with municipal elections, which will be considered an asset.
- The candidate must have knowledge of Municipal, Regional, Provincial and Federal Governments and applicable Legislations.
- The candidate must have exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service.
- The candidate must be detail oriented, well organized, and able to multi‑task a variety of tasks and activities while meeting conflicting priorities and timelines.
- The candidate must have analytical skills for complex problem solving.
- The candidate must have the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- The candidate must be able to work with minimum supervision in a fast paced, flexible, challenging, progressive environment.
- The candidate must have knowledge of MS Office and Web applications.
- The candidate will be required to execute a written employment agreement as a condition of employment.

- The candidate will be required to undergo a criminal record search to confirm that they have no criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted.
