Witten LLP is seeking an Associate Lawyer to join our growing Condominium Law practice in Edmonton.

This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer who enjoys a diverse practice combining both solicitor and litigation work. The successful candidate will work with condominium corporations and boards, property managers, and unit owners on a wide range of condominium matters including; drafting and interpreting bylaws, preparing opinions, collections and enforcement matters, condominium terminations and representing clients before the courts and other tribunals.

Key Responsibilities

- Advise condominium corporations and property managers on governance, bylaws, policies, contracts, and regulatory compliance.
- Provide practical legal guidance on operational and day-to-day condominium matters.
- Draft and review agreements, management contracts, bylaws, policies, and related documents.
- Assist clients with enforcement matters, collections, governance disputes, and bylaw interpretation issues.
- Represent clients in condominium disputes, governance challenges, construction-related matters, collections, and other related condominium proceedings.
- Assist clients with condominium terminations.




- Attend board meetings, client meetings, mediations, examinations, and court appearances as required.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and contribute to business development initiatives.

Qualifications

- Between 2-4 years of legal experience.
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta or eligible for immediate membership.
- Experience in condominium law, real estate law, commercial litigation, civil litigation, or a related practice area considered an asset.
- Ability to manage files independently while working collaboratively with colleagues.
