The Associate Underwriter, Residential Mortgage will report to Senior Manager, Residential Mortgage, and assist in residential mortgage underwriting and relevant operational activities.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

- Prepare reports, files and documents in support of the Residential Underwriting team function
- Follow up on administrative requirements of the loan process
- Compile various monthly/quarterly reports
- Assist in underwriting of residential mortgages such as document collection, screening and compilation
- Analyze and report the Bank's loan data as needed
- Upload consumer data, documentation follow up and gathering
- Other duties as required by Department

Job Requirements

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in business or finance; or equivalent experience in financial services or a related field

Work Experience Requirements: 1-2 years of work experience preferred, ideally in Canadian financial institution

- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)




- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs – i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- Extreme attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and to interact with all levels
- Ability to prioritize, perform well under pressure and meet time sensitive deadlines
- Proven ability to work well with others
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Proficiency in both English and Korean is an asset
