About the Chance

AfterQuery is seeking experienced Audio and Video Technician Experts to create and refine audiovisual production challenges for advanced AI training and evaluation projects. In this remote and flexible role, selected experts will design and evaluate technical scenarios that test AI systems on their ability to interpret and apply complex audio and video production principles.

The work focuses on real-world equipment operation, signal flow, production workflows, troubleshooting, and technical decision-making. Your hands-on audiovisual expertise will help evaluate whether AI models can address production challenges with precision, technical accuracy, and adherence to established industry practices.

Responsibilities

- Develop high-quality audiovisual questions, scenarios, and case studies covering areas such as signal flow, equipment setup, microphone techniques, lighting design, camera operation, mixing, editing, troubleshooting, and live streaming.
- Create technical challenges that assess an AI model's understanding of real-world audiovisual production workflows.
- Evaluate and validate AI-generated responses for technical accuracy, logical consistency, and adherence to audiovisual production standards and best practices.
- Provide detailed feedback to identify technical errors, gaps, and incorrect recommendations.
- Apply practical knowledge of audiovisual equipment, systems, and workflows when reviewing AI-generated content.




- Collaborate with media production and technical experts to refine question difficulty and assessment quality.
- Help ensure technical content is both challenging and educational.

Required Qualifications

- Technical certification or associate degree in Audio/Video Production, Broadcast Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience in audio and video production, live event support, or broadcast operations.
- Solid understanding of audiovisual equipment, systems, signal flow, and production workflows.
- Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to evaluate technical information accurately.
- Ability to independently analyze complex audiovisual scenarios and communicate solutions clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

- Multiple years of professional audio/video technician experience.
- Experience across diverse production environments, including:
- Live events
- Studio recording
- Broadcast
- Corporate AV
- Post-production
- Previous involvement in production teams, technical training, or media technology initiatives.
- Industry certifications such as CTS, Dante, AVIXA, or related specialized credentials.
- Specialized training in audio engineering, video production, broadcast technology, or related fields.




- Familiarity with AI-driven media production applications or technology-enabled audiovisual workflows.
