Job Overview A technician performs routine preventative maintenance and basic vehicle services, such as changing oil, checking fluid levels, and inspecting tires.

Core Responsibilities

- Oil and Filter Changes: Drain old engine oil, replace the oil filter, and refill the engine with fresh oil to manufacturer specifications.
- Fluid Maintenance: Check and top off essential vehicle fluids like coolant, brake fluid, power steering fluid, transmission fluid, and windshield wiper fluid.
- Inspections: Conduct basic multi-point safety inspections, looking for fluid leaks, worn belts, or damaged hoses.
- Tire Services: Check tire pressure, inflate tires, measure tread depth, and perform tire rotations.
- Minor Replacements: Swap out dirty engine air filters,



cabin air filters, and worn windshield wiper blades.
- Chassis Lubrication: Grease moving parts, steering knuckles, and suspension joints using specialized grease guns.
