Penn Automotive is a family owned and operated business serving our customers since 1965. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Automotive Service Advisor.

The Automotive Shop Helper/Maintenance Worker supports various functions of a busy automotive repair shop.

Duties - Mechanic Helper

· Assist in repairing and maintaining vehicles and heavy equipment

- Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as lubrication, oil and filter change, remove, install, rotate and balance tires
- Retrieve customer tires from storage and put tires to be stored into storage area. Periodically conduct inventory of stored tires
- Pick up and deliver customer vehicles, including driving customers home
- Vehicle detailing, including Penn owned vehicles
- Re-stock inventory, order tires, etc.
- Assist with moving vehicles in and out of storage (impound and winter storage)

Duties - Maintenance

- General custodial duties - sweeping, vacuuming, etc.



- cleaning of all areas
- Performs minor repairs around shop
- Snow removal of parking lot, walkways and entrances
- Grass cutting, trimming
- Burning of cardboard, paper, etc., including notifying ITFD of burn
- Pile used tires, clean up steel., etc., ensuring premises are neat, tidy and hazard free

Duties - Other

- Performs other duties as assigned

· Responsible as an employee for health and safety

Requirements

· Highschool diploma or equivalent

· Basic knowledge of automotive repair principles and processes

- Experience in property maintenance, equipment and tools
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and other physical demands of the job

· Ability to multi-task

· Positive attitude, robust work ethic, and willing to work as part of a team

· Valid driver’s license (minimum G2) and clean driver's abstract

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
