Barista, Full-Time – Café Ralia

Ralia operates boutique hospitality properties in Montréal with a commitment to regenerative business. We are hiring Baristas to work in our newly launched cafés in the Plateau and Rosemont neighbourhoods. Our cafés are more than coffee shops — they are gathering spaces designed with wellness and community at their heart. You will help our customers feel nourished, connected, and at home while delivering exceptional service and memorable café experiences.

Requirements

- Barista experience: proven ability to prepare espresso-based beverages, specialty coffee drinks, and tea to a high standard
- Customer service excellence: warm, genuine approach to welcoming guests and building relationships
- Ability to work a 40-hour schedule with shifts confirmed in advance; schedule subject to change based on business needs
- French and English fluency (both speaking and basic writing)
- Comfort with point-of-sale systems and cash handling
- Reliability and punctuality

Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso beverages, specialty drinks, and tea with consistency and attention to quality
- Welcome guests with genuine warmth, take orders accurately,



and handle payments (cash and card) with precision
- Maintain the café space: keep the counter, equipment, and seating areas clean and organized throughout the day
- Support café operations: stock supplies, monitor inventory, and communicate needs to the Café Operations Lead
- Learn and follow café systems: opening and closing procedures, equipment care, food safety protocols, and quality standards
- Collaborate with the team to hit café targets and support the overall café mission of nourishment and community
- Support the customer journey: understand the menu offerings, make thoughtful recommendations, and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere
- Report operational issues and guest feedback to the Café Operations Lead

Pay: $16.60-$25.22 per hour
