About the role

Return-It is British Columbia's largest beverage container recycling network. As a depot staff member, you'll be the friendly face of our mission — helping customers return their containers and keeping our sorting and counting operations running smoothly. Located at our Coquitlam depot on Blue Mountain St, this role is open for both full-time and part-time applicants.

What you'll do

Sort and count beverage containers (bottles, cans, cartons, and plastics) accurately by material type and brand

Greet and assist customers at the depot counter; process returns and issue refunds efficiently

Bag, bale, and prepare sorted containers for pickup and transport to processing facilities

Record container counts and maintain daily tally sheets; flag discrepancies to supervisors

Keep the depot clean, organized, and protected — sweeping,



sanitizing equipment, and following all hygiene protocols

What we're looking for

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 kg

Attention to detail and comfort with repetitive tasks

Reliable, punctual, and a team player with a positive attitude

Basic numeracy for counting and recording container totals

Comfortable working in an environment that may involve odours and messiness — it comes with the territory!

Previous retail, warehouse, or recycling experience is an asset but not required

Pay: From $18.25 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 40.0 per week
