The Dogwood Bar is looking for a Thursday Night Bouncer/Host to join our team!

We are looking for a reliable, professional and friendly individual to work Thursday evenings. The ideal candidate is confident, approachable and comfortable working in a busy bar environment while helping maintain a safe and welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive
- Host the door and manage guest seating
- Seat guests efficiently and manage table availability
- Check IDs and ensure guests meet age requirements
- Monitor the entrance and manage guest flow
- Maintain a safe, secure and welcoming workplace
- Monitor guest behaviour and address issues professionally
- Assist staff with managing difficult or disruptive situations when required
- Communicate effectively with bartenders, servers and management
- Monitor capacity and ensure house policies are followed
- Assist with line management and guest wait times
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional presence

Requirements
- Previous security,



bouncer, hosting or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident and professional demeanor
- Ability to remain calm and use good judgment in difficult situations
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced bar environment
- Must be able to stand and remain active for the duration of the shift
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment
