Duties

- Transparent and reset tables efficiently to maintain a clean and organized dining area
- Assist servers by delivering food and beverages promptly to guests’ tables
- Support food handling and sanitation protocols to ensure food safety standards are met
- Help with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including setting up stations or garnishing dishes
- Manage guest requests courteously, providing excellent customer service and ensuring guest satisfaction
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS for processing orders and payments accurately
- Uphold food industry standards by practicing proper food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures
- Support cash handling duties when assisting with cashiering or processing payments




- Maintain a positive attitude while managing time effectively during busy service hours
- Assist in upselling menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales

Skills

- Previous food service experience or restaurant background preferred but not required; enthusiasm is key!
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests
- Knowledge of POS systems like Micros POS or similar platforms for order entry and payment processing
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume periods
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing bills
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures in a restaurant setting
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment in a fast-paced hospitality atmosphere
- Kitchen experience or familiarity with food preparation is a plus but not mandatory
- Upselling techniques to promote menu items and enhance guest satisfaction
- Flexibility to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining professionalism
