General Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the CEO or designate, you will be integral in elevating IH Vancouver’s presence and profile provincially, nationally, and internationally. You will be accountable for creating short-to-long-term priorities, building the teams and resources to develop critical initiatives and community engagement, and expanding the revenue streams for the college. You will work with the leadership team to increase enrolment, strengthen the current programs, and identify new opportunities, strategies, and plans to seize those opportunities while supporting the program mix, new programs/projects, and initiatives by providing insights aligning with the school’s vision.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage academic/teaching and programs.
· Manage marketing and student recruitment.
· Oversea the overall planning, delivery, and evaluation of student support and services for both academic and non-academic nature.
· Enhance current institutional partnerships and develop new ones.
· Ensure return on investment.
· Work with the CFO and the team to develop the annual operating budget.
· Allocate resources in response to changing markets and international student recruitment patterns.
· Identify and implement short-medium and long-term priorities and plans for the school in alignment with the leadership team’s vision.
· Ensure academic defensibility and financial sustainability.
· Generate diverse revenue streams.
· Develop and nurture collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders, including government officials, leaders of educational institutions, and industry partners.
· Lead and achieve sales targets in all program areas.
· Identify market opportunities locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally.
· Participate actively in various cross-functional teams, including the extended corporate management team.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- University degree in a related field, such as business administration or commerce, with a minimum of five (5) years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA is preferred.
- Demonstrated and proven ability to manage a college and understand the government regulatory process in the province of British Columbia.
- Proven ability in leading key strategic projects and change management.
- Demonstrated project management skills and ability to bring people together internally and externally to manage numerous projects and deadlines concurrently.
- 5-6 years of experience in teaching ESL or Business, along with relevant teaching certificates in Canada.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Experience working independently and demonstrating effective collaboration with various individuals and groups.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with team members from diverse backgrounds and other areas of expertise and with senior administrators in various organizations.
- Knowledge of the private college education sector and best practices in post-secondary education.
· Ability to determine priorities, when to delegate issues, when to handle them personally, and at what point they need the attention of the senior leadership team. Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate based on experience. Performance bonus up to 15% of annual salary based on KPIs.
