Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter to join our energetic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining structures and fixtures using a variety of hand and power tools. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life, ensuring safety, quality, and durability in every project.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential renovations to commercial builds, contributing directly to the creation of functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces.

Duties

- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
- Instruct apprentices
- Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments

Skills

- Proficiency in reading blueprints,



schematics, and construction drawings
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques including woodworking and framing
- Experience with concrete forming and finishing processes
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Skilled in drywall installation, siding application, welding, and general construction practices
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools such as saws, drills, hammers, chisels, and levels
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and working at heights or in confined spaces as needed

Pay: $26.00-$35.00 per hour
