- The candidate must read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
- The candidate must be able to measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- The candidate must build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- The candidate must fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.

- The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
- There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- The ideal candidate must have more than 5 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must have completed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) training, Working at Heights training, and a Fall Arrest Protection Training Course.
- The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
