We are looking for one qualified candidate to work evening weekend and Monday evening shifts at our Self Serve Gas Station. Preference for candidates to submit resume in person (will be given priority), though not required.
Hours:
Weekend and Monday Evenings 1:30pm to 10pm
Qualifications:
- Basic Computer literacy.
- Previous cashier experience an asset
- Smart Serve Certification an asset, but training will be mandatory.
- High School Diploma
- Their own transportation
- Ability to provide a proactive approach in customer service and problem-solving
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Some responsibilities will be, but not limited to:
Customer Service
- Provides excellent customer service and positively engages with all customers
- Maintains a neat and organized checkout area
- Accurately scans or enters product data
- Accurately accounts for cash, lottery
Merchandising
- Basic Maintenance & Cleaning (Stocking Shelves,
Sweeping, Taking out Garbage, etc)
- Advises appropriate person regarding stock outs/shortages
Loss Prevention
- Ensures loss prevention standards are followed
- Controls cash, lottery, and tobacco inventory in accordance with prescribed cash handling policies and procedures
- Maintains proper security of cash and merchandise
General
- Opening and Closing the store, (Key holder).
- Checking age of majority for lottery, alcohol and tobacco customers
- Complies with all health and safety regulations
- Complies with all store policies and procedures.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent Pay: $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 24.0 per week
