Employment type: Seasonal, Part-Time

Season: Approximately October/November – April 15th

Hours: Monday – Friday, Ski Operational Hours, Weekends, and Holidays as required.

Reports to: Managing Director / Shop Supervisor

Position Summary:

As a Cashier at our Devil's Glen Country Club location, you'll be the face of Squire John's at checkout. You'll make sure every customer has a quick, accurate and friendly transaction, and you'll help keep the shop running smoothly.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Greet customers warmly and provide prompt, courteous service at the point of sale
- Process sales, returns, exchanges and gift card transactions accurately using the POS system
- Handle cash, debit and credit payments, and balance the till at the start and end of each shift
- Answer customer questions about products, pricing, promotions and store policies, and refer technical questions to knowledgeable team members
- Support the sales team by helping customers find what they need and suggesting complementary items
- Keep the checkout area and shop floor clean,



organized and well stocked
- Tag, price and merchandise products, and assist with receiving and restocking as needed
- Follow all cash-handling, loss-prevention and health and safety procedures
- Communicate and work well with your team and the Devil's Glen staff and members
- Take on other retail duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- Previous cashier, retail or customer service experience is an asset, but we're happy to train the right person
- Comfortable handling cash and using a POS system, with robust attention to detail and basic math skills
- Friendly, positive and professional, with a genuine desire to help people
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Availability to work [weekends / holidays / peak-season shifts] as required
- An interest in skiing, snowboarding, cycling or the outdoors is a definite plus
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
