Abbotsford-based family is presently seeking an experienced caregiver to care for 2 school-age children. The position is expected to commence ASAP. Childcare will take place in the employer’s home.
Personal Skills: Reliability; Effective interpersonal skills; Team player; Excellent oral communication; Judgement and intuitiveness; and Flexibility.
Specific Skills: Maintain a safe and healthy setting in the home; prepare children for rest periods; tend to emotional well-being of children; supervise and care for children; prepare and serve nutritious meals; take children to and from school organize, activities such as games and outings for children.
Additional Skills:Perform housekeeping and cleaning duties; assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents; as needed, travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties; wash, iron and press clothing and household linens; and shop for food and household supplies.
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
Experience: Prior childcare experience is strongly desired.
Other Requirements: Criminal record check required.
