The Civil Construction Labourer-Supervisor is responsible for constructing towers, roadways, and supporting structures; reinforcing components; managing crew members; and completing and submitting closeout documentation. Also reports project quality and safety updates to the Project Manager.

Core Functions

- Supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring the safety protocols and project specifications are met.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors and employees to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
- Review blueprints and construction drawings to ensure accurate implementation of the projects.
- Performing all general ground duties associated with tower construction, construction skills, rigging, and safety
- Implement construction deliverables on a project-by-project basis
- Able to travel with the province for extended periods
- Supervise and assist with road building, industrial fence installation, tie rebar, form/pour/finish concrete, backfill and compact foundation, install grounding systems, conduit and conduit trench, restoration, and cleanup
- Cast concrete test cylinders and photo documentation of the site as it develops
- Maintain and care for all issued tools, equipment, and vehicles in an operational condition at all times
- Schedule, coordinate and manage materials delivery, site-related activities, and subcontractors while maintaining good working relationships
- Compile all site-specific closeout documentation for work efforts at job sites.

Required

- Exceptional project administration and management skills
- Proficient communication and negotiation abilities
- Experience with civil construction




- Safely and efficiently operate a variety of heavy equipment, including excavators, dozers, skid steers, backhoes, front-end loaders, mini-excavators, and other construction equipment
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel
- Able to speak, write, and read English
- Solid interpersonal and teamwork abilities
- Motivated to learn and grow in the telecommunications industry
- Performing all general ground duties associated with tower construction, construction skills, rigging, and safety

Recommended

- 3+ years of industry experience
- Able to read drawings
- Job-related certifications: safety, rescue, CPR
- Comfortable working at heights
- Valid A-Restricted, DZ or AZ driver’s license
- Operation of excavating equipment
- Comply with CVOR regulations

- Experience with civil construction, farm labour, and outdoor activities.
