Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented CNC Wood Operator to join our production team at our Mississauga facility. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC woodworking machinery to produce high-quality custom millwork, cabinetry, and wood components.

Key Responsibilities

- Machine Operation: Set up, calibrate, and operate CNC routers and wood processing machinery to cut, shape, and detail wood products according to specifications.

- Blueprint Reading: Interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and CAD designs to ensure exact dimensions, tolerances, and material yield.

- Material Handling: Select, load, and position suitable wood materials (hardwood, softwood, MDF, plywood) onto the machine bed safely.

- Quality Control: Inspect finished components using precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy, smooth finishes, and alignment with specifications.

- Troubleshooting: Monitor machine performance during operation, adjust feed rates/speeds,



and perform minor tool offset adjustments as needed.

- Maintenance & Safety: Perform routine daily cleaning, tooling checks, and preventative maintenance on machines while adhering to safety protocols (PPE, machine guarding).

Qualifications & Requirements

- Experience: 1–3 years of hands-on experience operating CNC machinery in a woodworking, cabinetry, or millwork setting.

- Technical Skills: Familiarity with CNC control software (e.g., Mastercam, WoodWOP, Mach3, or similar) and comfortable working with basic hand tools and measuring instruments.

- Attention to Detail: Ability to consistently produce high-precision work with minimal material waste.

- Physical Capability: Ability to lift and maneuver heavy sheets of plywood, MDF, or solid wood (up to 50 lbs) regularly throughout the shift.

- Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe workspace.
