Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Flooring & Tiles Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be the key driver in accurately assessing project requirements, preparing comprehensive cost estimates, and supporting the successful execution of commercial flooring and tile installations. Your expertise will help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope of work for commercial flooring and tile installations
- Prepare detailed cost estimates using industry-standard software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam, ensuring accuracy in pricing and quantities
- Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, gather measurements, and identify potential challenges early in the planning process
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to negotiate pricing and secure competitive bids
- Develop comprehensive proposals that clearly outline scope, costs, timelines, and value-added solutions




- Manage multiple estimating projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines
- Assist in project management tasks by tracking budgets, change orders, and procurement activities throughout the project lifecycle

Experience

- Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on commercial flooring and tiles projects
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and installation techniques for flooring and tiling systems
- Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid; experience with Bluebeam is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve favorable pricing
- Solid understanding of project management principles within a construction environment
- Excellent communication skills to clearly present estimates and collaborate with team members at all levels
- Construction-related certifications or training are a plus; hands-on construction experience is highly valued
