Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Commercial Kitchen Gas Appliance, HVAC, and Refrigeration Technician to join our team. This vital role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of commercial kitchen gas appliances, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) systems, and refrigeration units. As a key player in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of essential equipment, you will bring your mechanical expertise and technical knowledge to deliver exceptional service in quick-paced commercial environments.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your construction experience, mechanical skills, and troubleshooting abilities to keep critical systems running smoothly. Will train the right candidate. 313A apprenticeship available for the right individual.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair commercial kitchen gas appliances such as ovens, stoves, fryers, and other cooking equipment ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems including air conditioning units, ventilation fans, thermostats, and ductwork to optimize climate control.
- Service refrigeration units such as walk-in coolers, freezers, display cases, and refrigeration piping systems with precision an asset.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously while working with gas systems,



boilers, or mechanical equipment; document all maintenance activities thoroughly.

Requirements

- G2 Gas license a must.
- G license and own reliable vehicle a must.
- Proven experience working with plumbing systems related to commercial kitchen appliances and refrigeration units.
- Mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems including installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Skilled in welding techniques for metal fabrication or repairs an asset.
- Strong understanding of schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals relevant to appliance repair and HVAC systems an asset.
- Mechanic experience with refrigeration systems or appliance repair is an asset.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
