Decorative Installer – Commercial ProjectOverview

Holzbau Contracting is seeking an experienced Decorative Installer to join our team for a commercial project at Sobeys in Fort McMurray, AB. We are looking for a skilled, dependable professional with a strong background in commercial construction, finishing, and decorative installation work. The ideal candidate takes pride in high-quality workmanship and maintains a safe, clean, and effective job site.

Responsibilities

- Install decorative architectural elements, finishes, panels, trims, and related materials according to project drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, layouts, shop drawings, and installation details.
- Complete decorative and finishing work with a high level of precision and attention to detail.
- Ensure installations are level, plumb, square, properly aligned, and securely installed.
- Measure, cut, fit, and install materials accurately.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and other trades to maintain project schedules.
- Perform finishing and detail work to achieve a clean, professional appearance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.




- Follow all site safety policies and company procedures.

Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in similar commercial construction, finishing, or decorative installation work.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction practices and installation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift at least 40 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to meeting project deadlines.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are considered an asset.
- Must have appropriate PPE for a commercial construction site.

Schedule
- Starting October 19
- 3-4 weeks duration
- 10:00 pm - 7:00am Night shift
