Job Summary

Looking for a community aide and/or companion for our family member who is male and 25 years of age .

Experience with individuals with cognitive disability would be an asset. In this vital role, you will provide personalized support, companionship, and assistance to enhance daily living and promote well-being. Your positive attitude and attentive care will foster a warm, engaging environment that encourages independence and happiness for the family member. This paid position offers an chance to grow your caregiving skills while making a genuine impact in your community.

Duties

- Offer friendly companionship and emotional support to our family member, promoting social engagement and mental stimulation
- Engage the family member to go out into the community for trips to the mall, anime conventions, theatre, sports, city festivals, and other activities




- Assist the family member in preparing a meal for the family once a week, fostering healthy eating habits while aware of family members' food restrictions.
- Document activities, time spent with family member and invoice accordingly

Skills

- Clear, concise spoken English
- Excellent communication skills with a caring attitude towards family member.
- Have similar interests as the family member
- Be active

Requirements: Must have a driver's license and full insurance coverage.

Assets: Interest in gaming, anime, Minecraft, archery, driving range, swimming, antiques, museums, bowling

Pay: $22.66 per hour

Expected hours: 21.0 per week
