Western Canada Security is hiring Community-Focused Security Officers who know effective security starts with people, respect, sound judgment, and local awareness.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain a professional presence; patrol, monitor, and report concerns; assist people respectfully; apply site rules fairly; de-escalate when needed; respond to incidents, alarms, hazards, and requests for help; follow procedures; escalate concerns; protect confidentiality; and complete accurate reports.

What You Bring

Required

Required qualifications include a valid BC Security Worker Licence, legal authorization to work in Canada, clear communication and report-writing skills, basic technology comfort, reliable transportation, professional conduct, calm judgment, respect, accountability, and commitment to safety, confidentiality, ethics, and essential role duties.

Assets

Assets include First Aid, de-escalation, mental-health, trauma-information, or conflict-resolution training; experience in security, customer service, healthcare, hospitality, social service, or community service; knowledge of Greater Victoria; additional languages; or transferable community experience.

Equivalent combinations of employment, education, volunteer work, community involvement, and transferable experience will be considered.

Pay: $18.25-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
