Two Nice Guys I.D.A. Pharmacy has won awards for community service and collaborative care. We are looking for a dedicated Health Care Aide to join our team to visit clients in their homes and assist with medication administration.

We are accepting applications for those interested in doing medication administration in the community in the evenings (5pm start). Preference will be given to candidates with open availability. Training in pharmacy-specific program requirements, our core values, and our delivery routes will be provided.

Wages are negotiable depending on experience. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview.

Responsibilities

- Visit clients in their homes to provide medication assistance and routine care tasks.
- Administer/assist with medications (eye drops, ointments, inhalers, PRN medications, topical ointments, and insulin injections as delegated).
- Perform routine assessments, including blood glucose and blood pressure monitoring.
- Deliver medications to residential support workers, follow up on compliance, and collaborate with support workers, staff LPNs, and family members.
- Observe and note changes in behavior, particularly for clients with mental health or substance use disorders.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date daily records and submit reports to the supervising nurse/pharmacist.
- NO assistance with personal care or ADLs required.
- NO night shifts.





We are looking for Health Care Aides who demonstrate:
- High motivation, solid work ethic, and excellent communication skills.
- A caring, friendly, non-judgmental attitude toward behaviors that put individuals at risk.
- Confidence driving to client addresses in various locations.
- Understanding of and willingness to work within Harm Reduction practices.
- Flexibility to adapt to dynamic community care environments.

Requirements:
- Successful completion of a recognized Health Care Aide certification program.
- Active registration on the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry.
- Medication Administration training/certification.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with consistent access to a reliable vehicle and adequate insurance coverage.
- Clear Criminal Record Check (required upon offer of employment).

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Casual Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6.0 – 9.0 per week
