Concrete Artist / Shop Hand

Shop Location: 47 Bury Court, Brantford ON

Compensation: $20-$25 / hour. Skills and Experience Factored.

Schedule: Monday – Thursday 7:00 AM-4:30PM Friday 7:00AM-2:30PM – Full Time

Anthony Concrete Design is a high-end custom concrete workshop creating unique pieces and architectural elements for architects, designers, homeowners, and internationally recognized brands, including Starbucks, Adidas, and Canada Goose.

We’re a small, hands-on team that values craftsmanship, creativity, precision, and attention to detail. Every project is different, ranging from custom residential work to large-scale commercial and architectural installations.

Position Overview:

We’re looking for a Concrete Artist / Shop Hand to join our team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is eager to learn specialized concrete and fabrication skills.

You’ll work alongside our experienced team to bring projects from raw materials to finished products. Responsibilities include mould fabrication, concrete preparation and casting, cutting, assembly, finishing, and general shop operations. You’ll use a variety of hand and power tools while working from measurements, drawings, and project specifications.

Occasional on-site work may also be required to assist with the installation of projects. This may involve travelling to residential, commercial, or architectural sites and working as part of a team to ensure the finished pieces are installed safely and to a high standard.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, creative, and comfortable solving problems and learning new skills.



Since no two projects are the same, adaptability, teamwork, and a strong commitment to craftsmanship are essential.

Your work will directly contribute to creating high-quality custom concrete pieces for residential, commercial, and architectural projects across Canada and internationally.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

- Assist with the fabrication and preparation of concrete moulds
- Place, prepare, and secure moulds for casting
- Assist with measuring, mixing, and casting concrete into moulds
- Measure, cut, and glue concrete panels, hearths, mantels, and other custom concrete pieces
- Use a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Assist with finishing, detailing, and preparing concrete products
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
- Work closely with the team to complete projects accurately and efficiently
- Follow measurements, drawings, and project specifications
- Assist with general shop duties and material handling as required

- A strong team player with good communication skills
- Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy materials
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs independently and more with assistance from the crew.
- Interested in learning new skills and working in a specialized, creative manufacturing workplace

Requirements

- Valid Ontario G-Class Driver’s Licence
- Occasional in office work to assist in installation
- Previous experience with construction, carpentry, concrete, fabrication, manufacturing, or a similar hands-on trade is an asset
- Comfortable using hand tools and power tools
- Ability to work safely in a shop/manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
