Are you someone who enjoys working with details, solving problems, and helping customers? In this role, you'll play an important part in supporting the administration of PERA's retirement plans by processing financial and employer reporting transactions, maintaining member and employer records, and ensuring information is accurate and up to date.

Join PERA in a role that combines customer service, data management, and problem-solving. This position processes employer and member transactions, maintains retirement plan records, assists employers with online reporting access, and researches data discrepancies to ensure accurate and efficient administration of retirement benefits. Minimum Qualifications To facilitate proper crediting, please ensure your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed below and indicates the beginning and ending day, month, and year for each job held. - Data entry and records management skills sufficient to enter, update, maintain, verify, and retrieve information in electronic systems while reviewing data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Skill in using spreadsheet applications, such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, sufficient to enter, compile, download, store, retrieve, and modify data and spreadsheets
- Basic math skills sufficient to perform calculations, review and reconcile information, maintain accurate records, and identify discrepancies in data and transactions
- Customer service skills sufficient to respond to inquiries, provide prompt and accurate information, resolve concerns, and communicate effectively with customers, clients, members, employees, and stakeholders in person, by telephone, email, and other written correspondence
- Problem-solving skills sufficient to analyze information, identify issues, evaluate options, and recommend solutions to support business, operational, program, or customer service needs
- Ability to independently organize and prioritize work, manage competing priorities, collaborate effectively with others, complete assignments accurately, and meet established deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

- Associate's degree or higher in accounting, business administration, finance,



public administration, or a related field
- Experience working with retirement plans, pension administration, employee benefits, payroll reporting, or other related financial or public sector programs
- Knowledge of public pension plans, including employer reporting, member records, benefit administration, or retirement plan operations
- Knowledge of Minnesota Government Data Practices requirements and best practices for handling confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with a wide range of backgrounds, who do not share your same culture, ethnicity, language, or other common experiences
