Overview

We are seeking a mature, dedicated and enthusiastic Store Clerk to join our team, on a part time basis. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and a passion for retail. As a Store Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, assisting with product sales, and maintaining an organized and inviting store environment.

Your role will be crucial in ensuring customer satisfaction and driving sales through effective communication and merchandising strategies. The successful candidate will also be provided LCBO training, to ensure LCO requirements.

Duties

- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs.
- Provide product demonstrations and technical sales support to enhance customer understanding of merchandise.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, handling cash transactions accurately.
- Train and adhere to the LCBO requirements
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store, including merchandising displays.
- Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products to customers.
- Manage inventory levels by restocking shelves and conducting regular inventory checks.
- Address customer inquiries via phone or in-person with professionalism and courtesy.




- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve store performance.
- Utilize basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing.
- Shifts will include weekdays and rotating weekends

Qualifications

- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
- Familiarity with technology sales, including product demos and technical sales, is advantageous.
- Solid organizational skills to maintain an orderly store environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with effective phone etiquette.
- Some heavy lifting may be required, up to 40 lbs, on an occasional basis.
- Proven time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.

Job Type: Part-time Pay: $17.60-$17.65 per hour
