We are looking for an enthusiastic Cook to join our kitchen team—no extensive kitchen experience required! We are fully willing to train the right person.

Job Summary

As a Cook at Rustic Roast Cafe & Bar, you will assist in preparing food, executing menu items during service, and maintaining a clean, efficient kitchen. This is an entry-level position perfect for someone who is passionate about culinary arts, eager to learn, and looking to build a career in the food service industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Prep ingredients and assemble food items according to cafe recipes and presentation standards.
- Cook menu items efficiently during breakfast, lunch, and evening service shifts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen area, dish station, and food prep stations.
- Follow proper food handling, storage,



and safety procedures at all times.
- Assist with inventory checks, restocking supplies, and receiving deliveries.
- Collaborate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and smooth service.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Certifications: Active FOODSAFE Level 1 and Serving It Right certifications are required.
- Experience: Previous line cook, prep cook, or kitchen experience is an asset, but we are willing to train candidates with a strong work ethic and the right attitude.
- Mindset: Enthusiastic, eager to learn, open to feedback, and motivated to grow with the business.
- Attributes: Punctual, reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Teamwork: Strong communication skills and a dependable, supportive attitude toward coworkers.

Schedule & Availability

- Work Days: Tuesday through Sunday (Shift options include weekdays and weekends).
- Time Off: Closed every Monday and on Statutory Holidays.

Pay: $18.25-$20.25 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 – 30.0 per week
