Ice Dragon Corrosion is looking for an Intermediate Corrosion Technician to join our team in Victoria, BC, supporting a long-standing client within a corrosion support program. This is a hands-on, client-facing role based primarily onsite with the client. You’ll work closely with field personnel, client stakeholders, and Ice Dragon’s central technical team to support corrosion prevention, maintenance, inspections, data collection, and ongoing program delivery.

What you’ll be doing

- Provide onsite support for corrosion audits, inspections, data collection, maintenance activities, and common defect issues.
- Support corrosion, coating, painting, and general maintenance activities in the field.
- Build strong working relationships with client stakeholders across different levels and functions.
- Communicate technical and operational information clearly, concisely, and appropriately for the audience.
- Help introduce and reinforce corrosion program services with field stakeholders.
- Support a proactive maintenance culture through practical coaching, follow-up, and day-to-day engagement.
- Act as a link between the client site and Ice Dragon’s central Corrosion Program team, communicating observations, data, feedback, and requests.
- Manage multiple activities and stakeholder needs while maintaining accurate reporting and reliable follow-through.
- Learn and adapt as project requirements, client needs, and site conditions evolve.
- Travel occasionally to Ottawa or Toronto as required.

What we’re looking for

- Technician-level technical diploma, degree, or equivalent experience in corrosion, QA/QC, coatings, inspection, reliability, or a related field.
- Approximately 3+ years of relevant field experience, such as corrosion, reliability, condition monitoring, NDT, inspection, coatings, or industrial maintenance.
- Related AMPP, coating inspector, or corrosion qualifications are strongly preferred, such as AMPP CIP Level 2/3, AMPP CP, or equivalent.




- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, from field personnel to leadership.
- Comfortable asking questions, learning quickly, and adapting your approach to different people and situations.
- Able to build rapport and trust in a complex client environment.
- Well organized, with strong follow-through, time management, and attention to reporting and process requirements.
- Comfortable working independently while knowing when to involve or ask for support from the broader team.
- Practical, collaborative, responsive, and comfortable spending a significant portion of the workday in the field.
- Fluent English required. French is considered an asset.

Security requirements This position requires security clearance. Applicants must therefore be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident with at least five years of residence in Canada. Candidates who do not meet these security eligibility requirements cannot be considered for the role.

Compensation and benefits

Base salary offered is $80,000 - $90,000 annually, with final compensation depending on experience and qualifications.Ice Dragon also offers:
