Sunnybrook Childcare Centre is a non-profit Centre that provides care for children, ages 3 months to 5 years of age. We are looking for an individual who will be a great part of our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the implementation of high-quality early years learning programs based on the How Does Learning Happen
- Provide a warm, nurturing and caring environment for children to support their self esteem
- Ability to manage children’s behavior through positive reinforcement
- Maintain an organized, welcoming, safe, and educational environment
- Support the teachers in the room with daily routines
- Communicate with staff and parents regarding child development

Qualifications

- Minimum two years’ experience working in a child care workplace as an Assistant or RECE

- Up to date knowledge in CCEYA, How Does Learning Happen, and AQI
- Strong planning, time management, problem – solving, interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrate solid knowledge in child development and self-regulation
- Current training in First Aid and CPR
- Clear and Current Vulnerable Sector Check

Although this is a casual position we do have opportunities for a temporary full time position in the near future.
