Job Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, guiding them through their service experience while ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and expertise. This role requires a blend of mechanical knowledge and exceptional customer service skills to effectively communicate with both customers and technicians.

A candidate who gets out on the water or rides the trails is a benefit as they can connect with the products being serviced. Previous equipment experience is a benefit as moving boats around with a telehandler will be required.

Duties

- Greet customers warmly and assess their service needs, providing a welcoming atmosphere.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding tractor, boat or powersports issues, give service recommendations, and repair options.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to explain technical information in an understandable manner.
- Manage the service appointment scheduling process, ensuring efficient workflow in the service department.
- suggest value added services and products based on customer needs and vehicle condition.
- Collaborate closely with mechanics and technicians to ensure accurate diagnosis and timely completion of services.
- Tag and organize parking lot as units arrive.




- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of customer interactions and services performed.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.

Skills

- Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair is essential.
- Strong computer and organizational skills
- Proven sales experience with a focus on upselling services or products.
- Equipment operation a benefit
- Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating patience and understanding in all interactions.
- Familiarity with dealership operations is preferred, enhancing the ability to navigate the service process effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Competence in cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey information clearly to customers and team members.
