Canning Village Meat Market is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and friendly individual to join our team!

Position Overview The Customer Service / Deli Clerk / Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service while assisting customers with their meat and deli purchases, operating the cash register, and helping keep the store clean, organized, and running smoothly.

Responsibilities

- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide knowledgeable and helpful customer service
- Serve and package meat, deli products, and other store items
- Slice and prepare deli meats and cheeses
- Weigh, label, package, and price products accurately
- Operate the cash register and process cash, debit, and credit transactions
- Answer customer questions and assist with product recommendations
- Take customer orders in person and over the phone
- Restock shelves, coolers, and displays as needed
- Keep the deli, checkout area, and store clean and organized
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Assist other team members when needed
- Complete other duties as required to help keep the store operating efficiently
