About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our fully remote team. In this role, you will take ownership of designing, developing, and scaling data solutions leveraging Databricks on AWS. As a vital member of our data engineering team, you will influence architectural decisions and implement best practices to ensure the robustness, efficiency, and scalability of our data pipelines.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale datasets, complex distributed systems, and contribute directly to projects that have a significant business impact. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a proactive mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

- 7+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer
- Hands-on experience with Python programming
- Advanced proficiency in SQL
- Extensive experience with PySpark and Databricks in production environments
- Proven expertise in designing and building end-to-end data pipelines
- Solid understanding of distributed data processing and data modeling
- Experience working with AWS cloud services




- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, and AWS services
- Work with large and complex datasets in production environments to ensure data integrity and performance
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Python code and advanced SQL queries
- Build new data pipelines from scratch, not just maintaining existing ones
- Ensure high data quality, system performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
- Collaborate closely with product managers, analytics teams, and software engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Contribute to architectural decisions and promote data engineering best practices within the organization
- Continuously evaluate and improve data processing workflows and infrastructure
