Duties

- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight and packages to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Use forklifts and other heavy equipment to load and unload cargo efficiently and securely
- Inspect vehicles regularly for maintenance needs; perform basic automotive repairs when necessary to ensure optimal performance
- Verify delivery orders, documentation, and freight handling procedures for accuracy before departure and upon arrival
- Communicate proactively with dispatchers and customers to confirm delivery schedules, address issues,



or provide updates
- Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, vehicle inspections, fuel usage, and maintenance activities
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all operations to prevent accidents or damage

Experience

- Proven experience operating commercial vehicles such as trucks or vans in a delivery or logistics environment
- Skilled in forklift operation and heavy equipment handling with relevant certifications preferred
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures, including loading/unloading techniques and safety standards
- Basic automotive repair skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues on the go
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for commercial driving
- Ability to work independently while managing time efficiently in a fast-paced setting
