What We Are Looking For

We’re growing and we need a Demolition/Framer to help with our increasing workload. Are you detail-oriented, courteous, and a hard worker looking for work in the renovation business? We strive to provide the highest level of installation standards, and need qualified tradespeople to achieve this while maintaining a positive attitude and respect for our customers’ property.

Knowledge of carpentry and the ability to interpret drawings and written specifications is a must, and the nature of the job requires a high level of physical fitness.

A successful candidate for this position would have robust written and communication skills, be polite and respectful, be able to provide their own tools and transportation and MUST have framing experience. We offer competitive compensation on a contracted, self-employed basis.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Demolition and Removal of Drywall, Plaster, Tiles, Framing materials, Insulation, Ducting etc.
- Removal of Kitchen, Bathroom, Laundry Cabinets
- Determine future layout of rooms / spaces
- Framing of walls, Beams, bulkheads
- Insulation and vapour barrier
- Installation of drywall sheets
- minor ducting and ventilation

Skills & Qualifications

- Minimum of 3 years experience in general carpentry
- Class 5 License
- Minor electrical, plumbing and venting experience is a plus
- Must have their own transportation
- Must be able to provide their own tools
- Strong written and communication skills
- Able to follow written instructions and interpret blueprints
- Able to confidently and safely operate power and hand tools
- Detail oriented
- Must work with a high level of accuracy, quality and efficiency
- Can work as an individual or as part of a team
- Must hold themselves to a high standard
- High Level of physical fitness

Experience:
- carpentry: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
- Class 5 Drivers License (preferred)
