Responsibilities

Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including cleanings, fillings, orthodontic treatments, and more.

Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.

Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits.

Manage patient records efficiently using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Epic.

Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Support orthodontic procedures by assisting with braces adjustments and related treatments.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment,



adhering to infection control standards and safety regulations.

Requirements

Previous experience in dental assisting or relevant healthcare support preferred; certification in dental assisting is a plus.

Familiarity with dental software platforms such as Dentrix or Epic to manage patient information effectively.

Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry and orthodontics to communicate clearly with team members and patients.

Experience working with pediatric patients (pediatrics) is highly desirable for creating a welcoming environment for all ages.

Understanding of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technology used in orthodontics or restorative dentistry is beneficial.

Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist may be required to greet patients and coordinate appointments.

Ability to multitask efficiently in a quick-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
