Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant level 2 to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. This position requires a compassionate individual who is comfortable working with patients of all ages, including children, and is knowledgeable in various aspects of dental assisting.

Fridays and Alternating Saturdays.

Excellent in English speaking and writing.

Duties

- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a sterile environment.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensuring they are clean and ready for use.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
- Manage patient records using dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic.
- Schedule appointments and handle patient inquiries as needed, functioning also in a receptionist capacity when required.
- Assist with pediatric patients, providing a comforting presence during their visits.




- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and ensure the office is well-stocked.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure effective workflow and high-quality patient care.

Requirements

- Certification or diploma in Dental Assisting is preferred.
- Experience in pediatrics, orthodontics, or other specialized areas is a plus.
- Proficiency in using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software is advantageous.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or Dental Receptionist is preferred but not mandatory.
- A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to safety protocols.
