Larga is a residence for guests travelling from Nunavut while tending to their medical needs. Our mission is to provide a home-away-from-home managed by staff who are welcoming, friendly, approachable, trustworthy, caring, and have a robust desire and willingness to assist guests with their needs throughout the duration of their stay with us. Staff are often integrated into the lives of our guests and must demonstrate empathy, patience, compassion and be able to maintain composure under stressful or sensitive circumstances.

Ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests is our top priority at all times.

This position helps ensure our dining room is clean, organized, and welcoming for the guests we serve.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday - 7:00am-3:00pm

2 Month-Term - October 2026 to December 2026

(with the potential to transition to casual, as-needed hours upon completion of the term)

Key responsibilities

- Wash dishes, pots, pans and kitchen utensils
- Keep the dining room clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and other dining room surfaces
- Clean, refill, and maintain the coffee and juice machines
- Restock condiments,



utensils and other dining room supplies
- Empty garbage as required
- Sweep and mop dining room and kitchen floors
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety procedures
- Assist the kitchen team with snack prep or other duties as assigned.

What were looking for:
- Friendly, trustworthy, and team-oriented
- Able to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Willing and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must pass an annual medical assessment and provide a Criminal Records Check
- Comfortable working around cleaning chemicals
- WHMIS, CPR/First Aid, and FoodSafe (or willingness to complete)
