Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for the vision, strategy, planning, public profile, impact and operations of Carleton’s art gallery

Qualifications:

The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:

- Knowledge of leadership practices in people management, strategic planning and risk management, policy development, financial management and stakeholder relationship management
- Knowledge of Canadian and international art, historic and contemporary
- Knowledge of best practices in public and educational programming
- Knowledge of funding models and fundraising from public and private sources
- Knowledge of marketing and communications planning and execution

Education and Experience: The above is normally acquired through the completion of:

- Completion of a graduate level degree in art history or a related discipline
- Minimum of four years of previous experience in the direction, leadership and operations of a public art gallery
