Ayrshire Group is seeking an ambitious and highly capable Director, Finance to lead key financial functions across our growing real estate investment, development, and operating platform. This is a unique opportunity for a CPA with strong analytical, treasury, and financial management capabilities to take on a highly impactful leadership role with direct exposure to executive decision-making, institutional capital partners, lenders, and investment committees.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer and working closely with our Controller, you will take ownership of consolidated financial management, fund reporting, treasury and liquidity management, financing activities, risk management, and governance initiatives across a complex portfolio of development projects, investment vehicles, and operating companies.

The Opportunity The Director, Finance plays a critical leadership role in supporting the financial management and growth of Ayrshire's investment and development platform. Working closely with executive leadership, you will oversee financial reporting, treasury management, financing activities, risk management, governance processes, and strategic financial planning across multiple entities and investment vehicles.

This position is ideal for a finance skilled seeking broad business exposure and the opportunity to contribute directly to investment, development, and operational decision-making while helping build the systems, processes, and financial infrastructure necessary to support continued growth.

Key Responsibilities





Financial Management & Reporting

- Lead consolidated, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across the Ayrshire operating entities.
- Own capital account financial modelling and reporting for Ayrshire’s funds.
- Support financial modelling for the development, investment, and commercial management teams and assist with strategic decision-making.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership and investment committees.

Treasury, Financing & Capital Management

- Lead cash management, liquidity planning, and consolidated cash flow forecasting across multiple operating entities.
- Manage banking relationships, intercompany funding, lender reporting, covenant compliance, and financing administration for our operating entities.
- Support the structuring and execution of construction, CMHC-insured, and conventional financing.

Risk Management, Governance & Compliance

- Assist with corporate and project insurance programs, including builders' risk, D&O;, E&O;, and cyber coverage.
- Support private fund governance, securities compliance, FINTRAC obligations, and regulatory reporting.
- Implement and maintain controls that safeguard assets and mitigate operational and financial risk.

Systems & Operational Excellence

- Enhance financial systems, reporting tools, and internal controls to support scalability and growth.
- Drive process improvements that strengthen reporting quality, decision-making, and organizational efficiency.
- Support the implementation of technology solutions.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

- CPA designation preferred; CFA designation is an asset. Candidates with a comparable combination of qualifications and experience are encouraged to apply.
- Approximately 5-10 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, advisory, investment management, real estate, or a related field.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex financial information across multiple entities or business units.
- Experience with treasury, liquidity management, financing, or capital markets activities is considered an asset.
- Exposure to real estate development, private investment funds, or investment management environments is preferred.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced entrepreneurial setting.
- Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams and stakeholders.
