Role Description The Director of Business Development is a full time, on-site role based in Saint Andrews, MB. This position is responsible for developing and executing strategies to grow the company’s customer base and revenue, with a focus on freight services across North America. Day-to-day activities include identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, managing lead generation initiatives, and building strong relationships with key accounts.

The Director will negotiate and oversee commercial contracts, collaborate with operations and leadership teams to align service offerings with market needs, and monitor market trends to inform business planning.



This role also involves setting performance targets, tracking results, and representing Gpex Transport Inc. at industry events and client meetings.

Qualifications

- Strong New Business Development and Lead Generation skills, with a track record of expanding customer bases and markets.
- Experience in Business Planning, including creating growth strategies, setting targets, and analyzing market opportunities.
- Proficiency in Contract Negotiation, with the ability to structure, review, and finalize commercial agreements.
- Effective Account Management skills, including maintaining long-term client relationships and ensuring high service satisfaction.
- Prior experience in transportation, logistics, or freight services is highly beneficial.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including comfort with data-driven decision-making and CRM tools.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
