THE OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting chance for a Director of Finance / Controller to join LITCO LSO, a growing organization with multiple entities. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and partnering closely with the Fractional Chief Financial Officer, this role provides leadership to the Finance and Accounting team while overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, audit coordination and finance activities across multiple entities.

This role is responsible for strengthening the accounting function, improving financial reporting, and establishing consistent finance processes. The position also supports acquisition integration and the ongoing development of financial controls, reporting standards and accounting practices across the organization.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE The ideal candidate is an experienced finance leader with a strong technical accounting foundation and demonstrated success leading accounting and finance functions within complex, multi entity organizations. This individual combines strong financial management, budgeting, audit oversight, and financial reporting expertise with the ability to establish structure, improve processes, and strengthen financial controls.

Comfortable working with senior leaders and robust personalities, this individual provides objective advice, constructive challenge, and practical solutions. RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Reporting & Accounting





- Lead the organization’s accounting and financial reporting functions across multiple entities.
- Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements and ensure consistent accounting practices.
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Maintain effective accounting policies, controls and reporting standards.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations that support business performance and operational decision making.

Budgeting & Financial Planning

- Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting activities.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and identify emerging risks and opportunities.
- Lead monthly operating reviews with each business unit, partnering with executive leaders to review financial performance, budget variances, forecasts, and operational results in support of effective decision making.
- Develop financial models and analysis to support planning, resource allocation, and organizational objectives.

Audit & Financial Oversight

- Oversee the annual external audit process and act as the primary liaison with external auditors.
- Coordinate audit planning, documentation, and the resolution of audit related matters.
- Ensure financial policies, procedures, and controls are maintained and consistently applied.
- Ensure compliance with applicable financial reporting, regulatory, and internal control requirements.

Mergers, Acquisitions & Integration

- Support finance related activities associated with acquisitions and integrations.
- Support finance due diligence and post acquisition integration activities, as required.
- Assist in evaluating and integrating financial processes across acquired entities.
- Promote consistency in financial reporting, controls, and accounting practices across multiple entities.

Systems & Process Improvement

- Lead or support the implementation, optimization, and enhancement of financial systems and reporting tools.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness within the finance function.
- Support technology and process improvement initiatives that strengthen financial management and operational effectiveness.

Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration

- Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to the Finance and Accounting team.
- Build and strengthen the team through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.
- Foster a culture of accountability,



collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Build effective working relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders.
- Communicate financial information clearly, confidently and effectively to a variety of audiences.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- CPA designation required.
- Strong technical accounting foundation with experience preparing consolidated financial statements.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, including experience leading finance and accounting functions within a complex organization.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and year end audit activities.
- Experience working within organizations that operate across multiple entities, business units, or corporate structures.
- Demonstrated experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and integration activities.
- Experience leading and developing finance and accounting teams.
- Experience supporting financial systems implementations, technology-enabled process improvements, or organizational transformation initiatives is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, financial controls, and financial management practices.
