As part of this evolution, Fundy Harbour Group is seeking its inaugural Director of People & Culture to build and shape a dedicated People & Culture function and help ensure its people, structure, and practices evolve alongside the business.

What does this role entail?

Reporting to the Vice President of Operations and working closely with the President and senior leadership team, you will build and shape Fundy Harbour Group’s People & Culture function, developing the strategy, practices, and organizational infrastructure needed to support the business. This is a true builder role, combining strategic leadership with hands-on execution.

You will play an important role in shaping how the organization evolves, strengthening workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, succession and leadership development, employee relations, HR systems, and compliance.



Central to your mandate will be introducing the right level of structure and discipline while preserving the entrepreneurial spirit and agility that have contributed to the Group’s success.

This is a fully in-office position based in Saint John, Current Brunswick.

As the ideal candidate, you:

- Bring progressive People & Culture leadership experience, ideally within a growing, dynamic organization. Experience in real estate, property management, construction, or another operationally focused environment is considered an asset.
- Are commercially minded and able to translate business priorities into practical people strategies, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Are a builder by nature, comfortable introducing the right level of structure, process, and discipline while remaining pragmatic and adaptable.
- Bring strong organizational development and workforce planning capabilities, with experience strengthening performance management, succession planning, and leadership development.
- Have broad HR expertise across talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, employment law and compliance, and health and safety.
- Are trusted advisor who can influence senior leaders, build relationships across all levels, and balance empathy with accountability.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and bring initiative, sound judgment, attention to detail, and strong follow-through.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline; a CPHR designation or eligibility is considered an asset.

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $130,000, plus variable compensation.
