DISHWASHER / KITCHEN ASSISTANT

$18.00 PER HOUR YEAR-ROUND NO LATE NIGHTS The Wellings of Picton is a vibrant community for independent adults who are 55+. Our hospitality team plays a central role by delivering exceptional dining experiences that promote connection, enjoyment, and wellbeing.

We are looking for a reliable, positive Dishwasher/Kitchen Assistant to join our Back of House team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to join a year-round workplace, gain experience and grow within our culinary and hospitality team. This position is well suited for a student, retiree, someone seeking flexible work and additional income, or anyone considering a career in the hospitality or culinary field.

SCHEDULE

· Approximately 2–5 days per week

· Regular shifts are generally 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

· No late nights

· Shifts available 7 days a week, including weekends and public holidays

· Shifts may occasionally be longer for special events and major cleaning tasks

DUTIES INCLUDE

· Operating the commercial dishwasher

· Washing and properly storing dishes, cookware and kitchen equipment

· Keeping the dish area clean, organized and sanitary

· Assisting with kitchen cleaning and closing duties





· Supporting the culinary team as required

· Assisting with additional kitchen tasks and food preparation when trained

AVAILABILITY & TRANSPORTATION

Applicants must be available for a combination of weekday, weekend and public holiday shifts. However, we are happy to accommodate consistent, set days.

Reliable transportation is required. Applicants must be able to reliably get to and from scheduled shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
