We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Driver Manager specializing in Safety, Compliance, and Training to lead our transportation operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee driver safety programs, ensure adherence to regulatory standards, and implement comprehensive training initiatives. Duties
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety protocols and compliance procedures for all drivers and transportation staff.
- Conduct regular safety training sessions, onboarding programs, and ongoing educational workshops to promote best practices.
- Oversee driver qualification processes, including licensing, certifications, and background checks, ensuring adherence to legal requirements.
- Manage and track incident investigations related to safety violations or accidents, providing corrective actions and reporting findings.
- Comprehensive understanding of WCB in relation to claims and incident reports
- Instructor/Trainer: TDG / related training
- Follow practices within the PDIC - Skilled Driver Improvement Course
- Train and Monitor HOS and ELD as per Transportation Canada Regulations
- Class 1A License - ability to perform road tests
- OH&S; - Chairperson
- Troubleshooting truck and trailer issues
- Proven experience in transportation operations with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train diverse teams on safety protocols and operational procedure
