Drywall & Framing – Apprentice, Journeyman & Foreman

Grecon Construction is currently hiring skilled and motivated individuals to join our growing team. We are looking for Apprentices, Journeymen, and Foremen with experience in commercial drywall and framing.

Whether you are building your skills as an apprentice, are an experienced journeyman, or are ready to lead a crew as a foreman, we are looking for dependable people who take pride in their work and want to be part of a professional construction team.

Positions Available

Apprentice

- Assist with drywall installation, steel stud framing, boarding, and general site work
- Work alongside experienced tradespeople and develop your skills
- Follow site plans, instructions, and safety requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Arrive on time and prepared for a full workday

Journeyman
- Perform commercial steel stud framing and drywall installation
- Read and work from drawings, plans, and specifications
- Lay out walls, ceilings, bulkheads, and other assemblies
- Work independently while maintaining productivity and quality standards
- Identify material requirements and communicate site needs
- Assist and mentor apprentices when required

Foreman
- Lead and coordinate drywall and framing crews on commercial construction projects
- Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and scope of work
- Plan daily and weekly work to keep projects moving efficiently
- Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and site requirements
- Monitor workmanship, productivity, attendance, and safety
- Communicate progress, material requirements, and potential issues to management




- Coordinate with site supervision and other trades
- Maintain an organized, professional, and productive job site
- Take ownership of the project from mobilization through completion

What We’re Looking For

Successful candidates will have

- Experience in commercial drywall and/or steel stud framing appropriate to the position
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Commitment to quality workmanship and job-site safety
- Ability to follow instructions and meet project schedules
- Reliable transportation to various job sites
- Appropriate tools and PPE for the position
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of construction work

For Journeyman and Foreman positions, the ability to read construction drawings and work independently is required. For Foreman positions, previous crew leadership and commercial site-management experience is required.
