We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Educational Assistant ECE Level I to join our early childhood education team on a part-time basis for a one-year contract. Educational Assistant Level I – Part-Time Split Shift

Position: Part-Time Educational Assistant Level I

Schedule: Split shift

Location: Saskatoon, SK

Hours

The child attends kindergarten Monday, Wednesday, and alternating Fridays.

On school days, the hours are (split shift):

- 7:30–9:00 a.m.
- 3:00–5:45 p.m.

On the child's kindergarten days, additional daytime hours may be available, The child is at daycare on Tuesdays, Thursdays and alternating Fridays.

On non school days, the hours are:

- 9:00–5:30 p.m.

Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the child before and after school
- Walking with the child and a small group of children to school in the morning
- Picking the child up from school in the afternoon and walking back with the group
- Providing supervision, care, and support during program hours
- Working cooperatively with childcare staff and the child's school team
- Following the recommendations from the behavioral therapist
- Develop unique programming when needed
- Helping provide a safe, positive, and inclusive environment
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities tailored to early childhood development standards.
- Support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive growth through engaging interactions and personalized attention.




- Use effective communication skills to foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom setting that encourages exploration and learning.
- Assist with documenting children’s progress and behavior observations to inform ongoing assessments.

Requirements
- ECE Level I qualification
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- Experience working with children is an asset
- Reliable transportation/willingness to walk with children to and from school
- Caring, patient, dependable, and able to work as part of a team
