Responsibilities:

- Develop conceptual designs, studies, reports and proposals and ensure effective communication within project teams and with client engineer
- Report to Area Project Engineering Manager for project issues and to the overall Electrical Lead for functional issues
- Visit project sites and other design offices for project related activities as required
- Lead a team of Electrical Engineers,



Designers and CAD personnel in the successful execution of electrical engineering and design for mining/mineral processing within budget and on schedule
- Provide technical leadership and guidance for the electrical team and mentor engineers-in-training and designers
- Prepare and check calculations as required and prepare electrical equipment specification packages
- Check vendor drawings and data for compliance with specifications and prepare detailed design, supply, construction and installation specifications

Successful candidates will have:

- Engineer with 12+ years of relevant experience - preferably in an EPCM setting for industrial projects
- Engineering degree and registered as a Professional Engineer with the P.E.O or another Canadian Professional Engineering Association
- Knowledge of industry, regulatory codes and standards
- Proficient with the following electrical design tools and software: SPEL, ETAP, SKM, EasyPower and ASPEN
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multi disciplinary teams
